I made Steph something for her birthday, that I called "Mix Tape". I didn't want to buy something expensive, cause she'd rather receive something special with some thoughts on it.

I was listening to music as always, and when I was listening to some songs, I realized how much they fit me & her, and especially how I feel about her. I ended up collecting lines from those songs, and writing them down. I put them all together as if they were just one long song, or some sort of note, that I called "Mix Tape".

Mix Tape

Today I made you a mix tape, to say exactly how I feel inside. Falling for you was the easy thing to do, and after all we've been through, I'm still addicted to you. We've had our share of hard times, but that's the price we paid, and right now is all that matters. I thank god each night for making you mine. Where would I be if I never met you? I can't imagine what it would be like if you were not around. You are living proof that dreams can come true. Please stay forever, this is my only wish. I'm gonna stay 18 forever, cause being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up. Walking hand in hand, we were kings on the parkway tonight. Honest, lets make this last forever, and ever. These are the best days of our lives.

I think about when we first met, the night I never will forget, I couldn’t keep my eyes off you. You smiled at me, and changed my world. You said I love you babe, without a sound, I said I'd give my life for just one kiss, I'd live for your smile and die for your kiss. I could stay lost in this moment forever cause every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure. I'd bring you candy and flowers, sit by the phone for hours. It doesn’t matter what we do, just as long as I’m with you. I’d do the same thing every day. I'd stare a lifetime into your eyes, cause looking into your eyes I've seen all I want to be and I don't want it to end. When you smile I melt inside. I can't ignore the way I feel when you smile.

If I could only put to words the way I see you. You're the beauty that is deeper than eyes can merely see.. you're the words that come out easy and I am speechless at best. You're the dream that hasn't ended and I'm still anxious for rest. Your words they seem to hang above my head. You’re in my thoughts and all of my prayers. In my eyes you rule the world. I just thought I'd let you know... you're my best friend and that's ok, but I wanna see you night and day. I wish I could mean all that you mean to me.. cause I think you're wonderful. and I think you're something special; the perfect girl. You are my world, and I love you more than everything in the world combined. I want to be the one who takes care of you, when you’re feeling blue. I'm not like other guys, I won't be mean to you.. you're not like other girls, I don't get sick of you. I promise to always be true, and I would never cheat on you.. and I’d never lie to you, unless I’d have to. When you leave I'll kiss you goodnight, you know we'll never fight. Stars are out tonight, and you're the brightest one shining in my sky. Your star it seems to shine above the rest. And when I fall asleep, you’re all that I see, my angel without wings.

It took me hours to finish that. All night in fact, cause I was making it during midnight, but that's ok. She's worth it. I just....I hope she will like it. And, I used lines from different songs...from these bands: The Ataris, Slick Shoes, Brodie Punk, Aerosmith, Simple Plan, Best Interest, The Juliana Theory, Blink 182, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday....and I think that's it. I used lines from The Ataris the most cause that's her favorite band at the moment. I shall go buy her the ring she likes now. I hope she will like the mix tape the most though.
